Providing our full project management solution, BOYCO supplied and installed a range of fixed furniture and equipment including the following:
Offering a fantastic array of storage options, a variety of cupboards were installed in the school’s classrooms, medical room, staff room and breakout spaces. The combinations included double sink units, base units and wall units to offer teaching and support staff optimum storage levels. Lockable cupboards were also utilised in the medical room to keep items safely stored away.
For added practicality, we combined sinks and taps with the cabinetry providing in-classroom washing facilities for hands and equipment, perfect for activities and to support hygiene levels in a busy environment.
Cloakroom Units and Lockers
As well as classroom storage, the primary school and nursery also needed options to keep bags, coats and personal items stowed away. A variety of BOYCO’s award-winning changing, cloakroom, and locker products were supplied and installed.
Pigeonhole bench units were chosen for their floor storage element that’s not only space saving, but perfect for popping bags, and shoes into the shelf spaces. Accompanied with peg rails, BOYCO also supplied and fitted wall and floor fixed benching units. Great for hanging coats and other items of clothing, the nursery and primary schools’ cloakroom areas had optimum storage levels to keep items away the floor, ensuring a tidy area for students as they pass through to break times and classrooms.
As with all BOYCO metalwork, the changing and cloakroom furniture was finished with our “hot-dip” nylon coating. A fantastic finishing touch, this coating protects against 99% of all known bacteria, helping to keep this school space clean.
A must-have for education projects, all steel lockers were utilised in staff changing areas. Highly durable and designed to stand the test of time, the lockers were chosen to provide teaching and support staff with their own space to keep their personal items locked away during the school day.
Worktops
A finishing touch to classrooms, nursery areas, boot rooms and more, BOYCO’s MDF worktops were utilised across the education centre. Laminated for added practicality, the worktops offer moisture resistance to help protect the surfaces should any spills or accidents occur.
As well as fixed furniture, BOYCO also supplied a range of loose furniture to complete the learning spaces. This included:
A range of sofa’s, chairs and seating spaces... From the school’s offices to small chairs for tiny tots in the nursery area, BOYCO kitted out all areas. Taking into consideration the wide range of ages; comfort, safety and durability were at the forefront of the selection process to ensure longevity for the school. Stackable chairs were opted for in some of the learning spaces to provide extra seating that can be stored away when not needed.
Similarly, a variety of tables and writing surfaces were needed across the project. From a large boardroom style rectangular table in a staff meeting space, to smaller desks in classrooms, a variety were supplied across the school. For a soft aesthetic and added safety, circular tables were chosen for the nursery and infant spaces.
For ease of use in the nursery area, mobile trolleys were supplied to support with activities, helping teaching staff to move learning and play equipment around the space simply. Library units as well as themes outdoor and indoor play units were also provided to help encourage imaginative, creative play.
Finishing touches such as white boards, noticeboards and appliances were added to ensure that the school and nursery were ready to go. A lockable fridge was installed into the medical room to keep medicines and other items safely stored away.
